COVERINGS 2015 | ORLANDO, FL

Each year the stone industry exhibits an annual stone show with the latest natural products for countertops and backsplashes. This year the stone took place in Oralndo, FL and Mogastone was there to be in on the newest trends.

Quarzites: Although they often look like marble, quarzites are much denser in general making it ideal for kitchen and bath countertop applications. Light tones, especially whites seems to be the popular often requested choices.

Granite: More exotic color choices were offered with swirls, sparkle, and large formation of natural glass like quartz.
...we even found one named after Constantin, our shop manager :)

The man-made quartz were also in and becoming more available for very modern projects with very little variation.

We also saw a lot of different options of glass tile which we will be introducing soon as part of our Mogastone stone line.

Last but not least, marble was the most popular of the show. We absolutely LOVE these soft white options with faded gray veining and pastel colors. Just beautiful and jaw dropping!! Nothing compares to the beauty of natural stone.

We look forward to the next show and meantime we will work hard to bring some of these options to the Triangle market in NC.

-Luxurious Master Bath Remodel-

Recently remodeled master bath includes the newest technology and most elegant details - Sagalossa Platinum marble tile (18X18), Fantasy Brown Quarzite countertops, tub surround and shower walls to complete the look, undermount white rectangular vanity sinks (his/hers for maximum use) and lid-mirrors, Jason micro-silk bubble tub and frame-less shower glass.

The popular raised panel, white cabinets with a pewter glaze adds more elegant flare together with the brushed nickel knobs, Brizo faucets and shower heads.

The Fantasy Brown is a natural quarzite displaying ogee edge profile on the counertops and matching ogee on the backsplash and sink cutout profile.

The tub deck also extends to add a shower bench shown on the left hand side. Also having a backsplash around the tub area protects the wall from water.

Undermount white rectangular sinks makes it easy to clean and is more updated.

"The stone they recently introduced are like no other. Many of them are 3D with natural quartz chunks that you can almost see through the stone and lava like pattern with swirls and wave like pattern. They are just amazing and you really have to see the entire slab of granite to get the full effect. I can't wait to get ours installed so I can stare at it all the time." said Carol, a recent customer of Mogastone.

New Season, New Granite!

Walking down the isle of the Southern Ideal Home Show in Raleigh, you probably stumbled upon many different home improvement booths featuring improvement kitchen and bath ideas. Among them, Mogastone Granite and Marble of Cary displayed a few examples of their custom countertops and granite slabs available in Raleigh and surrounding areas. The array of colors and patterns were fantastic and unique. Each beautiful in its own way – sparkles, waves, uniform, Mogastone had it all!

One piece in particular that really stood out to everyone was a semi precious Labradorite slab with blue, sea shell like pattern and iridescent background color as if it were background lit. It was magnificent and everyone stopped in their tracks to take a peak. “It’s amazing that Mother Nature can do. To know that this granite came out of the ground its unbelievable and no matter how much other man-made products try to mimic the look of 'stone', they don't even come close.” said Nina Hampton of North Raleigh.

If you missed this year’s show, you can stop Mogastone showroom and granite slab yard in Cary, open Monday - Saturday. "Mogastone always has the neatest colors that nobody around here has. We always look forward to seeing their granite countertops/slabs", said Bobbi from Apex.

New granite colors will be available all month of October and November. And best of all, Mogastone is always having monthly sales on their in stock granite colors.

Visit Mogastone Graniteand Marble the next time you’re in Raleigh/Cary. You won’t be disappointed.

"Beauty in the eye of the beholder"

New Year, New Selections!

During the next few weeks, Mogastone is introducing a new product line - Classic, Traditional, Exotic and Super Exotic.

Classic granite will consist of basic colors that are uniform and repetitive. These materials are simple, calming and modest and usually complement small kitchens with little or no direct sun light. These can usually be used in contemporary/modern kitchens.

Traditional granite are more balanced and have a some variation as well as soft wave like movement or shift in color. Sometimes, a cluster like patterns may be present, too. These are mostly recommended in kitchens with raised cabinet door panels with spacious floor plans and can be found in traditional/transitional kitchens.

As for the exotic and super exotic groups there are usually bolder, richer colors and have a lot of variation. These accent old world kitchens with furniture like cabinets and very well defined finishing touched. Mosaic tiles are often used as backsplash to complement the colors found in the granite and can be found in Tuscan/Victorian style kitchens.

Check out our latest kitchen countertop remodeling projects on our website's galleries (www.mogastone.com) where you can preview over 200 photos of recent jobs we have installed. Remember to consider your interest of everyone life whether it be cooking or entertaining when choosing the final color and it will be a marvelous transformation.
